She earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and a B.S.E. in Civil Engineering and Operations Research from Princeton University.

Carrie is active in the field of data science through her consulting work, graduate-level teaching, speaking engagements, and articles published in academic and business journals.
